Dr. A.G Karthikeyan is an accomplished medical practitioner and a Fellow of the prestigious Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH), United Kingdom. He worked in the United Kingdom for 12 years in the National Health Service (NHS) and his last 3 years in the UK was spent working as a Consultant Neonatologist in Saint Mary's Hospital, Manchester.
His vision to bring affordable and high-quality medical care at the reach of the common man in his homeland brought him back to Chennai 10 years ago where he has been working as a Consultant Neonatologist.
His qualifications include, MD (Pediatrics) from The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University in 2001. Subsequently completed his MRCPCH in 2004. Following this he went on to also complete his Fellowship in Neonatology in Liverpool and Leeds, United Kingdom earning him the award of his FRCPCH (Fellowship) from the prestigious Royal College of Pediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH), United Kingdom in 2010.
He has extensive experience having treated many sick babies including premature babies less than 1000 grams (1 Kg). An expert with abilities to provide the full range of newborn services including transport of sick babies, conventional and high-frequency oscillatory ventilation, CPAP, HFNC, inhaled nitric oxide therapy, whole body cooling for HIE, invasive procedures involved in the treatment of sick babies and neurodevelopmental follow up of preterm babies.
Surgery in newborn babies needs good pre and postoperative care. He plays an integral part in a multidisciplinary team that looks after these babies. His special interests include therapeutic hypothermia and quality improvement in NICU.

Dr. Akila graduated from The Tamilnadu Dr. MGR Medical University, Chennai in 2001. She became a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP), London in June 2011 after passing her final exams. She did her Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) training in The Royal Liverpool University Hospital, Liverpool, United Kingdom.
She is experienced in treating various medical conditions, managing chronic illness and their complications. During her training, she obtained experience in the management of cardiac problems, lung problems, neurological illness, emergency medicine, and endocrine disorders.
While working in Diabetes and Endocrinology in a University Hospital, she got trained to use oral and insulin injectable treatment options in Diabetes management. She is experienced in using Insulin Pump in uncontrolled diabetes. She had valuable experience in the management of patients with common endocrine disorders like thyroid and pituitary diseases. She had the opportunity to attend specialist clinics like eye clinic, foot clinic, and renal clinic to diagnose common diabetic complication and their management.
She also trained in Family Medicine and passed her Member of the Royal College of General Practitioners (MRCGP) exam, in March 2012. She has the experience of screening for diabetes, managing diabetic patients and managing diabetes-related complications such as hypoglycaemia, Diabetic Ketoacidosis, autonomic dysfunction, foot problems, and peripheral neuropathy.
